For beginner riders or for those who haven't ridden in several years. 

May 2022 courses consist of approximately 5 hours classroom work, 10 hours riding a motorcycle, and a 3-hour online eCourse that must be completed prior arriving at class. Motorcycles and helmets are provided. Successful completion of this course is recognized by DPS as your licensing requirement. You must pass a skills evaluation test* and written knowledge test to receive a completion certificate.

June and July 2022 courses consist of an online eCourse and approximately 11 hours of instruction (over 2 days) on the motorcycle. Students must provide completion certificate prior to beginning the on-bike instruction. 

Before you register, note these important policies: No refunds are given for late arrivals, if you fail to arrive with appropriate riding gear, if you do not show up for your class, or if you do not pass the course. In the event you need to reschedule a class you have already registered for, you must do so 72 hours prior to the start of class, or you will forfeit your registration fee. 

*The skills evaluation test will be administered once. In the event you do not pass, at the discretion of your instructor, a second test may be administered based on skills demonstrated during your class.
